Brussels Beer Project: Craft Beer in Pigalle

Brussels Beer Project – Pigalle

Brussels Beer Project (BBP) Pigalle is a newer craft beer bar that opened in Paris in late 2017. Prior to coming to Paris, the BBP was a co-creation project started in – you guessed it – Brussels to bring innovation to Belgium beers. While BBP has a brewery in Brussels it has three taprooms.  In addition to the Pigalle taproom, there is one in the Dansaert neighborhood of  Brussels and another in Shinjuku neighborhood of Tokyo, Japan (FYI, yes there is great craft beer in Japan – I’ll be writing about that in a future post).

Brussels Beer Project – Taps & Beer List

BBP Pigalle offers a selection of twenty beers on tap. This includes some  of their own beers on tap, as well as guest beers. During our visit their standard BBP beers included an IPA, a triple hefeweizen, a passion fruit and mango dubbed and a bitter. They also had a number of BBP experimental beers including a grisette, a chocolate mint stout, a tangerine pale ale, a session IPA and a red berry fruit beer.

Their quest taps included beer from around Europe. Examples included Small Loral Pale Ale (Cloudwater – UK), Our Bruin – Oak Leaf (Verzet – Belgium), Blood ‘El (Beaverton – UK), Saison Chardonnay (La Nebuleuse – Switzerland) and Alabama (La Goutte D’Or – France).

In addition to beer on tap, BBP offers a selection of beer in bottles, including bottles for takeaway. If your favorite beer isn’t available on tap, be sure to ask what they have in their refrigerator. And if you’re looking for a gift to bring home with you, be sure to check out their bottled beer selection and BBP gifts.

Brussels Beer Project – The Food

Beyond beer, BBP offers a selection of non-alcoholic drinks and bar food. The food menu includes a pulled pork sandwich, a hot dog, and tacos. With tacos, you have an option for a chicken or a vegan taco. Also their are options for onion rings or fries (frites Belges).
