Biérocratie: Craft Beer Bottle Shop in the 13th arrondissement

Recently, my friends and I visited Biérocratie for the opening of Paris Beer Week. They were offering a pairing of beer from Goutte d’Or, a Parisian brewery, and homemade vegetarian snacks. They offer a very large selection of craft beer from France and beyond. While I had visited Biérocratie before, I hadn’t  realized the scale of their beer selection. There is something for every taste!

Biérocratie is located in the 13th arrondissement, an area not frequented by many tourists. However, it lies on the periphery of Butte aux Caille, a small village within the larger Paris. Butte aux Caille is a charming area, which is quiet by day and lively at night. It is famous for its street art.

If you are looking to get off the tourist path during your visit to Paris, I’d recommend visiting Butte aux Caille. First, you can stop by Biérocratie to pick up a few cold beers.  Then take a stroll through Butte aux Caille while enjoying those beers. And yes, you can legally drink beer on the street in Paris. Just avoid public drunkenness, and be sure to pet the cat!
