Visit the Outland Bar: Craft Beer in the Eleventh Arrondissement!
The Outland Bar opened its doors in late February 2017, making it one of the newer craft beer bars to open in Paris. Located in the trendy 11th arrondissement, which is the epicenter of the Parisian craft beer scene, it offers a great ambiance to gather with friends!
While the Outland Bar is new, it’s roots in the Paris craft beer scene are well established. In fact, it stems from a collaboration between the owners of the Outland Brewery and another Parisian craft beer bar, Le Trois 8.
Outland Bar: The Beer
Outland’s beer menu includes eight beers from the Outland Brewery and four guest beers all on tap. During my visit, Outland’s beers included three IPAs, a Pale Ale, a Porter and two Nitros: “Shameless ESB” and “Orange is the new Porter”. The guest beers were from the French microbrewery, Sainte Cru Brewery In addition to beer, Outland offers a selection of natural wines and spirits for the non-beer drinkers in your group.
Outland Bar: The Food
While Outland does not offers full meals, it does offer a number of small delicious dishes or tapas to snack on with your beer. These dishes aren’t your standard bar food. Instead, they consist of small plates made from quality ingredients. Selections include gourmet pastrami, stuffed calamari, kalamata olives, burrata (i.e., buffalo mozzarella). Most note worthy was the wonderfully tasty bread that accompanied the dishes.
The Outland Bar is open everyday and a four minute walk from the Charonne metro stop on the 9 line.
